Friday, May 3rd, 2024:

The Steel Horse Rally Officially Kicks Off: Very Important Biker Area & Handle Bar Open!

Noon | Welcome to all Very Important Bikers! VIB check-in at SHR Tent in Vendor Village (2nd tent from Garrison Ave. in northeast corner of parking lot, next to the wall with the brightly colored mural). Official Steel Horse Rally T-shirts & Merchandise available in the first tent from Garrison Ave. in NE corner of the parking lot. The Steel Horse Rally Vendors open @ Noon in Vendor Village (800 block of Garrison Ave.), by the Steel Horse Rally Main Stage at the corner of 6th and Garrison Ave., and at Cisterna Park by the statue of Gen. William Darby on a motorcycle. (1000 block of Garrison Ave.) For map and parking info, click here.

The Public Guardians Poker Run

Kickstands up at 12:30 p.m. The Public Guardians Poker Run features some of the best motorcycle roads in the area and raises charitable donations for the Steel Horse Rally Inc. charity. Registration opens at 10:30 AM at The Barracks at Chaffee which is located in the Fort Chaffee Historic District in Fort Smith at 7300 Ellis Street. Minimum charitable donation of $20 per poker hand sheet. The group ride is kickstands up at 12:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the BEST and WORST hand. For more info on this scenic ride through Arkansas and Oklahoma click here

Live Music & Entertainment on the Steel Horse Rally Main Stage & The Steel Horse Rally Handle Bar
 
5:00 p.m. | Enjoy live music on the Steel Horse Rally Main Stage at the corner of 6th & Garrison Ave. and those 21 and up can enjoy beverages from the open air Steel Horse Rally Handle Bar right in front of the stage. Plus, get your official Steel Horse Rally Charity Cup for a charitable donation of $5 and those 21 (and older) can walk through the rally and downtown entertainment district with an adult beverage. 100% of the donation for cups goes to help local charities! Look for updates coming soon!

Park your Bike in the Middle of Garrison Ave.

6:30 p.m. | Garrison Ave. is open exclusively to motorcycle traffic until midnight. Once again, motorcycles can park in the middle of Garrison Ave. in beautiful downtown Fort Smith until midnight! All we ask is that you put the Front Tire on the Yellow Line. Look for signs and traffic cones marking where parking is allowed. For map and parking info, click here.

Steel Horse Rally Vendors Open

9:00 a.m. | The Steel Horse Rally Vendor Village Opens, 800 block of Garrison Ave., Vendors open near the Steel Horse Rally Entertainment Stage in 600 block of Garrison Ave, Across from First National Bank of Fort Smith, and Vendors at Cisterna Park open in the 1000 block of Garrison Ave. in downtown Fort Smith. Official Steel Horse Rally Charity Cups, T-shirts & merchandise available at the Steel Horse Rally tent in the northeast corner of Vendor Village with proceeds benefiting the Steel Horse Rally Inc. charity.

Park your Bike in the Middle of Garrison Ave.

9:00 a.m. | Garrison Ave. is open exclusively to motorcycle traffic until midnight. Once again, motorcycles can park in the middle of Garrison Ave. in beautiful downtown Fort Smith. 2024 Law Enforcement (FOP) Fun Run

9:00 a.m. Registration; 10:00 a.m. Kickstands Up | Registration and starting point at Denny's, located at 5910 Rogers Ave. This official Steel Horse Rally Ride ride ends at Riverfront Park. Riding from Denny's to the Oark General Store (the longest-running business in Arkansas that has been operated in the same location for more than a century). The ride explores some of the most scenic roads in the state including Hwy. 215 and part of "The Pig Trail" Scenic Byway 23. The ride ends at Riverfront Park (121 Riverfront Drive), the staging area for the Thunder through the Valley Parade in downtown Fort Smith. $20 per Rider. For map and more info, click here.

Cops & Cones Motorcycle Exhibition

10:00 a.m. | in the 1100 block of Garrison Avenue/Cisterna Park; Watch law enforcement officers ride through this precision course of orange cones set up right in the middle of Garrison Avenue. After the event, kids can have their photos made with the officers and their motorcycles.

Steel Horse Strongman Showdown  

10:00 a.m. | The Steel Horse Strongman Showdown is the newest addition to the Steel Horse Rally and will take place in the Glass Pavilion at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4th. Come watch this incredible event that is a blast to watch as competitors battle in head-to-head competitions! The Iron Warehouse in Fort Smith along with the Steel Horse Rally are proud to present this Strongman Corporation sanctioned event. The event is free to watch.

New Steel Horse Rally Event: Bikes and Badges Vintage Bike Show

11:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. | at the U.S Marshals Museum, 789 Riverfront Drive, Fort Smith, Ark. The Steel Horse Rally is proud to partner with the US Marshals Museum, and announce an exciting new event in 2024: The Steel Horse Rally Bikes and Badges! Bikes and Badges is an “open” vintage motorcycle show that will take place at the US Marshals Museum on Sat., May 4, 2024. The event is sponsored by Fort Smith Harley-Davidson who is paying for your admission into this world-class museum. Free admission to the US Marshals Museum located at 789 Riverfront Drive in Fort Smith, Arkansas will be from 9am until 5pm on Saturday, May 4th, 2024.T here is no entry fee to register your 25-year-old or older vintage motorcycle in the Bikes and Badges vintage motorcycle show. Thunder Through the Valley Motorcycle Parade  

4:00 p.m. | The Steel Horse Rally Thunder Through the Valley Motorcycle Parade goes "kickstands up" up at 4:00 PM, riding through downtown Fort Smith, underneath the huge American flag and ending on Garrison Avenue in downtown Fort Smith, AR. Staging at 3:00 p.m. at Riverfront/River Park Parking Lot (121 Riverfront Drive). Group Photo at 3:45 p.m. The parade will be led by law enforcement motorcycle units.

Live Music & Entertainment continues on the Steel Horse Rally Main Stage

(After 4:30 p.m. / After the Parade) there will be more live entertainment on the Steel Horse Rally Main Stage that will be located in the Parking Lot at 601 Garrison Avenue (across from 1st National Bank). The Bikes and Badges Vintage Motorcycle Show People's Choice Winner will be announced from the stage. VIBs (Very Important Bikers) can enjoy the exclusive VIB area located right up front, near the stage with private VIB bar service and more. 

Miss Steel Horse Rally Bikini Contest

8:00 p.m. | Miss Steel Horse Rally Contest, Live Music & Entertainment, and Voting for Miss Steel Horse Rally People's Choice The Miss Steel Horse Rally Contest will be on the new Steel Horse Rally Main Stage in the 600 block of Garrison Avenue across from First National Bank of Fort Smith. Vote for your favorite contestant who will take home the Steel Horse Rally People's Choice Award. Look for more information coming soon!

Great Live Music continues on the Steel Horse Rally Stage

9:00 p.m. | Get ready for incredible live music on the Steel Horse Rally Main Stage at the corner of 6th and Garrison Ave. (601 Garrison Ave., parking lot across from First National Bank).

The 1st Post-Rally Service!
 
HonorBound Motorcycle Ministry will be hosting the 1st Post-Rally Breakfast and Service at Current Outreach Church South Campus, 414 South 4th, Van Buren, AR 72956. Bikes, cars, trucks…EVERYONE is welcome to come together for a time of reflection and fellowship after the excitement of the rally. Enjoy a Free Pancake Breakfast from 7-9 AM and the Service begins at 9AM.
